We are pleased to report that recently our Highway Design team successfully secured Final Completion Certificates for three development sites in Cambridge, Bangor and Southend on Sea.

The Final Completion Certificates mark the end of the Section 278 process for the construction and implementation of highway works. Reaching this stage is significant as it means that our clients can sleep easy, knowing that the maintenance responsibility for the highway has now been officially passed to the local highway authority.

We have been working on these schemes for our clients Aldi and TPS since the feasibility stage, and it is so exciting to see the end of the project tied up in a neat bow.

Just because a development is complete and operational doesn’t mean Connect’s work is done. We are often still working behind the scenes after completion to ensure that all of our clients’ obligations are taken care of.

This is just a small part of what our Highway Design team does day to day. If you have any projects that involve Section 278 or Section 38 schemes with outstanding certificates, why not get it touch with Fiona Neil and speak to us about how we can assist.
