Connect Consultants has transport planning jobs in Bristol. Connect Consultants is a Transport Planning and Highway Engineering consultancy looking to recruit a Graduate Transport Planner (or two…)

We are a company of highly skilled professionals working on a broad range of transport planning projects across the country.

As a Corporate Partner of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT), we take pride in caring for an individual’s professional development, with ongoing strong support and training provided from day one, and guided autonomy offered early on.

Our mission is to help facilitate the transport aspects of our clients’ aspirations for sustainable, appropriate development.

Are you looking for transport planning jobs in Bristol?

Do you have a passion for solving puzzles (and sharing your answer with the world)?

Gooooood! Because we’re looking for another family member to join Connect Consultants Limited.

We love solving puzzles too – the world is a jigsaw, and every development is a piece that needs shaping to fit in just right.

For you to be a good fit with us, you’ll need a degree level education (such as Maths, Physics, English, Geography, Transport and related disciplines), or equivalent with good results in English, Maths and Science.

You will have an analytical mind and a high level of intellect, combining this with excellent writing skills to produce well-considered reports and recommendations, and good oral skills to communicate your findings in a clear (and persuasive) way.

We have a proven track record of delivering a broad range of development types including retail, residential, employment, care, education and medical schemes, working with some of the Country’s leading developers and retailers.

And we have a consistently growing workstream.

We are offering an engaging and successful career to the right person.

If you can step up to this lively challenge, you will have a great opportunity to work alongside some highly skilled professionals and contribute to a varied workflow across the country.

Your day-to-day activities will involve:

  • Traffic modelling using a variety of tools and methods.
  • Making recommendations and providing input to written documents.
  • Contributing toward the conceptual design of junctions and development layouts.
  • Making a decent round of tea and coffee, as we ALL take turns (maybe don’t take this one too seriously…)

In return you will be offered an excellent package of remuneration and support, with initial and ongoing training from day one.

Your continued development will be fully supported by Connect in growing and improving as our newest family member, as we take pride that we train people to the point where they can successfully train others.

[As a direct demonstration of this, some of your training will be delivered by individuals we originally employed as Graduates, trained, and promoted to the point where they can (and will) train you… ]

You will get increasing autonomy as your experience grows, but will always have support from your colleagues should you need it, even if simply as a sounding board!

Yes, it might sound like we ask a lot, but you get a lot back in return.
