Planning application: Outline application for a new employment development of offices, warehousing, and distribution, with new access road and junction. Subsequent reserved matters applications.
Local Planning Authority: Mid Sussex District Council.
Highway Authority: West Sussex County Council.
Outcome: Approved.
Connect Consultants was instructed by Glenbeigh Developments Limited and Dacorar Southern Limited to provide highways and transport support to the planning application for a development of 50,000 sqm of offices and warehouse/distribution units in Mid Sussex. The scheme included a new, purpose-built access junction.
Connect produced a Transport Assessment and a Travel Plan, and engaged with the Local Highway Authority and the then Highways Agency (now National Highways) to agree the scope of work and assessment.
Highways matters were fully resolved, including detailed design of the new access, and trigger-points for off-site mitigation measures.
Outline planning permission was granted, allowing subsequent reserved matters applications to be submitted and approved.
We were retained to assist with the Section 278 works for the access and the off-site works, and for the subsequent reserved matters applications.
